When my husband and I found out our dear friends were pregnant with their first child, I couldn’t have been more excited for them!  And quite frankly, we are just as excited that our children will be so close in age that they will grow up together! Best friends in the making.  I was so happy when she said yes to letting me throw a shower for her.  Best part, they aren’t revealing the sex of the baby!  So, it was time to get creative with the gender neutral theme.

Because we all love the outdoors and do at least one annual camping trip a year, it seemed like the perfect fit!  And hey, my sweet tooth is always up for a delicious s’mores treat!  I’m looking  forward to doing our first camping trip as a group of six!

Pulling it all together was easy once I became fixated on making a buffalo check bunting banner.   Things seemed to naturally evolve after that.  I warn you though… Set aside enough time for such a task…  I got more than I bargained for!

The table came together quite easily.  I repurposed the wood from a prior event, gather the rocks from my yard, filled in some space with some live plants and topped it off with some tasty treats!

The s’mores bar outside was a huge hit with the kids!

I am so pleased that the party was a great success!  We were thrilled to host our friends and their loved ones, and celebrate this extremely exciting time in their lives!  We couldn’t be happier for their new family and can’t wait to plot future camping adventures!
