Week five is behind us and we have one final week to get this guest room in tip top shape. It’s a total mess right now. And the entire team here has definitely had our eye on the current election going on in our country, so this week has been kind of all over the place. The pressure is real, but we’re at least feeling like it seems manageable! The final week is the best part. So many wonderful projects are just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited!

If you’re not familiar with the One Room Challenge, it’s such a fantastic event! Twenty talented Designers/Bloggers/DIYers and a whole slew of Guest Participants overhaul a space of their choosing. In six weeks, all participants reveal their room makeover for the world to see. So much goes into each of these projects and it truly is a celebration of hard work and incredible vision. This season, they will actually be wowing us with a Digital Transformation in lieu of a traditional transformation due to the restraints of Covid and we are personally so excited to see how this new way of doing things shakes out! We built a headboard! When you can’t find what you’re looking for out there on the market, you’ve got to get creative and make it yourself. And, so we did! She’s a beauty too and we are excited to share the outcome with you all, but you’ll have to wait. Who doesn’t like a cliff hanger?!

And then there’s this gem. It doesn’t look like much now, but we have a feeling this last minute decision is going to be a total showstopper! It’s taken a little ingenuity and we still aren’t 100% that it’s going to work out, but we’re going to throw all we’ve got at it.

A new tool! It’s become customary at this point that with each new project, I get a new tool. As odd as it sounds, the ladies around here, we just do get excited about tools and learning new skills. This is a serious hammer drill and it has definitely come in handy with the brick walls in this room. Worth every penny!

And this is where we leave you! With a little bit of suspense and drama. This room is coming together beautifully and we feel like we’ve really made a six week project look like a million bucks.
